Friday 11th October was a very sad day for Swansea Docks as Svitzer's tug Ayton Cross made its final departure from the port. Towage companies have been established at Swansea Docks since the mid 1840's under one guise or another, so for the first time in over 180 years there are no tugs based at the Port of Swansea.
